A free browser MMORPG.A world at dusk awaits.

One persistent 3D world of quests, skilling, combat, dungeons and sea voyages, shared with every adventurer online. Nothing to install.

What is Duskmere?

Duskmere is a free-to-play MMORPG that runs in a browser tab. There is no client to download, no launcher and no storefront between you and the game: you make an account, press Play, and you are standing in a persistent world shared with everyone else who is online.

It takes its cues from Old School RuneScape, with skills that take real time to raise, a player-run economy and a world that does not hold your hand, but it is not a copy of it. You move with WASD rather than clicking the ground, combat runs on a hotbar with cast times, and characters commit to a talent tree. It is rendered in 3D on an engine written for this game, which is the reason it can open in a tab in a few seconds.

The world opened to players in July 2026 and is built in the open: new regions, creatures and quests land regularly, and the people playing have a real say in what comes next. Read the full tour, or skip straight to the beginner's guide.

Frequently asked questions

Is Duskmere free to play?
Yes. Duskmere is free to play, and there is nothing to buy to progress. Make a free account, press Play, and you are in the world.
Is Duskmere a browser MMORPG with no download?
Yes. Duskmere runs entirely in your web browser. There is no client to download, no launcher and no plugin; the game opens in a tab in a few seconds.

Yes. Duskmere is rendered in 3D with WebGL on an engine built for this game rather than Unity or Unreal, which is why it can open in a browser tab without an install.
Is Duskmere like RuneScape?
It shares the ideas Old School RuneScape players love: ten skills that take real time to raise, a player-run Grand Exchange, and slow, earned progression. It differs in that you move with WASD rather than clicking the ground, combat runs on a hotbar with cast times, and characters spend talent points across Warrior, Mage and Priest trees.
What do you do in Duskmere?
Quest, fight, and train ten skills: Woodcutting, Mining, Smithing, Fishing, Firemaking, Cooking, Tailoring, Alchemy, Enchanting and your Character level. Trade on the Grand Exchange, form five-player parties, queue for the Hollowroot Depths dungeon, and sail across the Deep Sea. The regions run from level 1 to 65, with more being built.
Can I play Duskmere on a Chromebook, a Mac, or a laptop without a graphics card?
Yes. Duskmere runs in any modern browser on Windows, macOS, Linux and ChromeOS. It reads your hardware at startup and picks a quality preset to match, so a weaker machine gets a shorter view distance rather than an unplayable frame rate.
Can I play Duskmere on my phone?
It is playable in a mobile browser, with touch controls for walking, turning the camera and zooming. It is built and tested primarily for desktop, so treat mobile as a way to check in rather than the main way to play.
Is Duskmere still in development?
Yes. Duskmere opened to players in July 2026 and is a live world in active development. New regions, creatures, quests and skills land regularly, and every update is written up on the devblog.
